Micromax releases Funbook Infinity for Rs.7000

Micromax released again a budget tablet for Rs.7000. There is nothing special about this tab. It is a decent budget device that offers you average hardware support and quiet nice touch support. After successfully settings Funbook Pro, this looks the product of pending stock. This time on the 7" screen you can get two cameras. One in the back which is default 2MP and the other one is the front which is 0.3MP. The camera does not offer grate support but good for chatting.

Running on Android Ice Cream Sandwich, the new Infinity Tab is powered by 1.2 GHz processor, 512MB RAM and Dual Mali 400 the 2D/3D Graphics Processor. Sounds quite good at this low price. The device is running 4000mAh battery that provides upto 6 hours of battery life in usage mode. As per connectivity there is WiFi, MicroUSB port as well 3G using external USB dongle.

Apart from these, obviously it comes with a lot of pre-loaded apps including the Flash Player that is missing in Nexus 7 or Jelly Bean. The interesting thing that Micromax is providing with this new Infinity Tab is they are proving two pre-loaded movies, i.e. Rowdy Rathore and Tees Maar Khan.

    Micromax Funbook Infinity Specification:

    • Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich)
    • 7-inch capacitive touch screen display
    • 800 x 480 pixels Resolutions
    • 1.2 GHz Cortex A8 processor
    • 512Mb RAM
    • Dual Mali 2D/3D Graphics processor
    • 2MP rear camera,
    • 0.3MP VGA front-facing camera
    • 4GB internal Storage, expandable up to 32GB with microSD
    • HD video playback (MPEG2/4, AVI, WMV, MOV)

I own a 7inch edition of Funbook and want to sell off now to get this one. This time it looks there is a bit higher battery life provided. It looks Micromax is keeps on improving it devices. I want a better battery life and obviously a sim slot. That makes the job much easier as you are going to use it for web surfing.

The price of the same is around Rs.6600 I think. Compared to other devices that I had seen in the market, this one is far more better. But low battery and overheating are the two common issues noticed. You cannot say that this is the best. On budget range you cannot expect to have much here.

I had seen a number of budget devices that promise to give better output, but fails. Compared to them if you go for the branded stuff, then they are lot more better.
