How to update your iPad & iPhone to iOS 6

I need a proper guide or process by which I can run iOS 6 update on iPad and iPhone. I had seen Apple has released that updates and it is available for download. Yet I had not seen this update is delivered via OTA on these devices. I had seen some of my friends are still using the same and did not provide any information on it. They said the update just happen when they connected the phone with iTunes. Is it true?

Yes doing the same through iTunes is much better. There are around 200 new features added in the new edition and it is recommended to run the same.

The update will be applicable for iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, the new iPad, iPad 2 and iPod touch 4th generation. But updating does not means you are going to get everything. There would be limited support only.

Means only limited functions will be activated on the oldest model. Just backup your device first and then connect it back and run the update.

Running an update through OTA is far better. It is the only way by which you can get the latest iOS6. For those who had jailbreak there device which will need to find some manual way. I will not recommend running this thing on older devices As it is not at all worthy. There can be number of bugs and error if the update does not fit well.
