How to upgrade to Reliance RCom 4G

Starting from yesterday, Reliance Communications (RCom) has started rolling out 4G services to its CDMA users in Mumbai, Maharasthra, Delhi and Andhra Pradesh while other circles including Kolkata, Gujarat, Punjab, UP East and West, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar will get it soon. To get enrolled for this services, the user must upgrade to 4G SIM card. How to do that? Let's find out.

If you are Reliance Prepaid or Postpaid CDMA customer, you first need to get the new 4G SIM card from Reliance Store or retailer. Once you get the SIM, send an SMS from your old Sim card reading '4G < space > 19 digit SIM number' of the new 4G sim. Send it to 1299. You can also make call from your old card to 1299 and enter the new 19 digit sim number. You will receive the confirmation SMS when you are upgraded to 4G services.

For Reliance Datacard users, if it is prepaid card then simply recharge it with 4G upgrade recharge.(Postpaid users follow steps from here) Now go to using the same datacard internet and enter the existing Datacard number in Upgrade to 4G form. Once you submit the form, Generate OTP and process to get new 4G Datacard. You will get it by post at your provided address.
