Flash player embed failed on PowerPoint 2007

I have a few flash files which are promos of different products. I am trying to add them in PowerPoint 2007. I added them by clicking on insert > object and selected those files. They are in swf format. A box appear on the slide but after some seconds there is a error. And the box is gone. This has happen several time. I had tried to add this again and again but it fails to work. While I can embed audio and images on the same. This works well. There is no issue with that. I can also add tiny video clips. But this flash files are not working.

Any help would be appreciated for this

Before adding just test whether those files are proper or not. You can right click on them and choose open with any web browser. Use Firefox. If the files plays then it is fine. But if not then those are damage files. Due to which PowerPoint is unable to keep them on the slide. You have to find the new copies for the same.

By default PowerPoint supports a variety of image, audio and video format. You can add things even through simple drag and drop. Just check first that files are proper.

The way to add a flash files in PowerPoint 2007 is different. You have to enable shockwave flash object first.

For that click on the round office button and go in power options. Under popular add a tick on show developer tab in the ribbon. Now go in the developer section and you can find a setting icon in control section. Click on that. This will open more control box.

Choose Shockwave flash object from that and click on ok. A box will appear in the slider. Now right click and choose properties. Under playing set true and under move type the location of flash file.

    Hope this helps.
