Microsoft revealed the Windows Phone 8.1 OS and is now all set to give the users a set of customizable features with its new Lockscreen App which is now in alpha stage but as the Windows Phone head Joe Belfiore said the Beta version of the app is almost here, and will come by the week. By the launch of Windows Phone 8.1 OS, it brings along many new features for the devices viz Improved Lockscreen, Changes in the Start Screen, New Action Center and also a Beta version of Microsoft's Virtual Assistant Cortana.

With this update, Nokia have also started rolling its new Cyan update which have lots of new features for the applications. So the new Lockscreen App will work only on devices which have 1GB of RAM. For the new Lockscreen users have to install a new API for the Lockscreen as this is not part of the firmware. The new Lockscreen App will give users more options for customizing their Lockscreen's, and there is more visual animations in the new app, and users can install more themes for more customizing option.

The new Lockscreen App will only support English language and maybe in the near future the languages will get added. So lets wait for the new Lockscreen App, as Microssoft will announce the App for download.
