iberry Auxus Nuclea N2 Review - Impressive and Powerful clone of Galaxy Note 3

iberry has started rolling out its new flagship Auxus Nuclea N2 smartphone from January, which is a next installment in Nuclea N series. Iberry’s new flagship looks like a replica of Samsung Note 3 and also has almost all features of the Samsung Flagship premium Phablet. If you see the phone at a glance you would recognize it as Note 3. Auxus Nuclea N2 is the first smartphone to launch in India with an octa-processor configuration in smartphone with full HD display.

So I will review each and every aspect related to this phone today. I will give you an insight on its hardware configuration, display features, camera and battery backup of this phone. Let’s find out to what extent this phone replicates the features of Samsung Note 3 and whether the phone has some unique features of its own. But first, let’s put a glance at its highlights:

    • Android 4.2.2 JellyBean operating system
    • 5.7 inch Full HD IPS Touch Screen Display
    • 1920 x 1080 pixels Resolution
    • 1.7 GHz Octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor
    • 2GB DDR3 RAM
    • Mali 450-MP4 GPU
    • 13 Megapixel rear camera with Auto focus, LED Flash and BSI sensor
    • 8 Megapixel front-facing camera
    • 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, aGPS
    • 16GB internal memory, expandable upto 64GB using MicroSD Card
    • 3500 mAh battery with wireless charging

    Design and Packaging:

We will discuss first about the design feature of this phone. Whether this phone has rich looks or falls in mid-range cheap plastic body finish phone. Phone is very slim ranging 8.5mm which is good measurement for the phone which have large display. From front you will notice that iBerry’s new flagship has 5.7-inch large display and below display you see one large button which is commonly found in all Samsung smartphones and two capacitive buttons on both the sides of home button.

Capacitive buttons are not active for longer time and when the phone is under sunlight then this capacitive buttons are not visible even if they are on. Body of the phone is plastic and feels cheap in hands but it has smooth finish on every corners. Back of the phone has faux leather same like Samsung Note 3 but the quality of the faux leather is just average if compared to Note3. Faux leather gets easily scratched and the texture is spoilt when it is placed in rough surface and handled roughly. Back of the phone holds protruding 13MP camera and flash below the camera in same fashion which we saw already in Note 3. Speakers grill lies to the lower back for audio output.

Above the screen lies a set of default hardware which is found in every smartphone that is an earpiece, sensors and front camera. At the Sides of the iBerry Auxus Nuclea N2 you would find that it has steel finish plastic body, left side of the phone houses the power button and right side of the phone houses the volume controller. Below the phone packs the micro USB charger and microphone pinhole for input of voice. One feature that is visibly absent in the Auxus Nuclea N2 compared to the Note 3 is the stylus.

Re: iberry Auxus Nuclea N2 Review - Impressive and Powerful clone of Galaxy Note 3

    Display / Screen:

When we talk about the display of Nuclea N2 you will again come to same point that nothing is different than Samsung Note 3. It also comes with 5.7-inch display with full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels at 386ppi pixel density. However, Instead of AMOLED display found in Samsung Note 3, iBerry has used IPS display technology for its new flagship. Resolution and pixel per inch density is almost same in both Note 3 and Nuclea N2.

Display is vibrant and outputs sharp and crisp images with good viewing angle. If you like to watch movies and play games then the big display would provide a good comfort with compact pixel density screen and full HD resolution. Sunlight readability of the display is just average and contents are not very clear under sun. Overall the quality of display is good but not like the one seen in Note 3.

    Hardware and performance:

Good hardware configuration is found in the Auxus Nuclea N2 so it’s obvious that performance of the phone will be outstanding. Phone is given with latest MediaTek MT6592 chipset which houses with 1.66 GHz Octa-core ARM Cortex-A7 processor along with 2GB RAM and Mali 450-MP4 GPU. It is the first phone to be launched in India by iberry with Octa-core processor and no doubt, eight core processors will easily process all your data and instruction with great speed and provide you with consistent performance.

2GB RAM will help you to multitask easily while surfing on multiple browser or processing multiple data at a time without any issues. GPU installed in the phone is latest GPU which will take care of all the HD gaming and HD entertainment easily on your phone. The good thing about this handset is that it supports dual-SIM and has good inbuilt storage of 16GB and is further expandable with the help of microSD card. Out of 2GB RAM you can use 1.93 GB RAM and when phone is idle 1.2GB RAM is available to use. Internal storage of 16GB cannot be fully utilized, only 11.67 GB is available for user storage and 1.97 GB for apps storage.

So in all hardware configuration of the phone is great and with such kind of hardware configuration this phone can be kept in upper shelf of smartphones.

    Operating System and UI:

N2 will operate Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean which will not be an issue for an octa-core processor powered phone. Phone has Trebuchet a custom launcher which helps you to add new icons, home screens and lock screen effects and other settings. UI of the phone is the one common to all MediaTek powered phone. It has a good number of features and supports all Google apps.

Re: iberry Auxus Nuclea N2 Review - Impressive and Powerful clone of Galaxy Note 3

Hardware configuration of the phone is just perfect and keeping in the mind all the prospects of the phone, iberry has given its new flagship with 13MP camera with BSI sensor and f/2.0 aperture. With this camera configuration you will be able to capture beautiful images with every click. UI of the camera is same in all octa-core processor powered by MediaTek chipset.

Camera has many features like HDR, Motion Track mode, Live photo mode and other. Auto focus and macro focus images comes good but had slight distortion in the images. Low-light imaging is not very great in this phone. You can use flash for low-light that gives decent output. Phone can shoot video at 1080p resolution at 30fps which is quite obvious with 13MP camera strength. Image and video stabilization helps to create good memories with this camera. Front camera is powered with 8MP which can shoot HD videos as well which can be useful for video calling and video chat.

The phone is powered by 3500 mAh battery which is a necessity for the phones with huge display and powerful hardware. It has enough power to backup the phone for all day long with heavy use and average use will extend the battery life for more hours. More than 15 hours of talk time on any network and HD gaming and playing movie on this phone for more than 10 hours is possible. Iberry has chosen its hardware brilliantly or you can say it’s very well inspired by Samsung Note 3. It also supports Wireless charging.

Iberry Auxus Nuclea N2 is a really good smartphone packed with brilliant and latest technology. Not only the design is replica of Samsung Note 3 but many features too resemble the Samsung Note 3. Phone has good screen with bright display and vibrant color reproduction. Compact pixel density of the screen outputs clear and crisp display with good viewing angle. Phone has decent camera which captures good images and videos at high resolution.

Battery backup of the phone is just incredible and serves phone with really long operation. Only problem with the phone is the slightly low quality body features and the OS installed in this phone is outdated. Phone launched these days features 4.3 Jelly Bean at the least and higher versions but this one is stuck with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Price of the phone is quite high which places the phone in upper price segment. If you are brand conscious at the same price you would get some really good brand but with a slightly lower configuration.

Re: iberry Auxus Nuclea N2 Review - Impressive and Powerful clone of Galaxy Note 3

I have purchased the Auxus Nuclea X mobile and since then I am facing lots of issue with the phone. Later on the camera was not working properly so I sent mobile to service center. It is more than 4 month now. The ticket number is 773205. They come up with the same reply “your product is pending for the Auxus Nuclea X back camera in our chennai service center and we are expecting the same by next week” every time when I tried to reach/call them. I don’t want that bullshit mobile back now. please never buy any iberry product ever.
