HTC is well known for its creative design and it has followed the same trend for this phone too. The HTC 310 has a body of made up of plastic. Plastic body looks good and is very handy as well because of its size. Plastic body is little slippery but compared to other plastic phone it is not much slippery. Phone is said to be a dual-SIM phone with dual stand-by. Phone supports 2G and 3G networks on both the SIM slot. Body dimension of the phone measures 132.4 x 68 x 11.3 mm (5.21 x 2.68 x 0.44 in) which is very perfect size for a smartphone. Display / Screen:

Being a budget smartphone HTC Desire 310 had to compromise on a lot of features. Display of HTC phones are renowned for its clear and vibrant colour output but you will definitely miss this features on Desire 310 because HTC has made use of primitive TFT screen which outputs 16M colours that does not give very impressive sharpness or colour. The huge screen of 4.5-inches display with resolution of 480x854 pixels should be sufficient to do day to day activities comfortably.

Now if you check every phone in the market you will find that all phones have atleast qHD display or 720p display but HTC came up with resolution which is history for a smartphone. Pixel density decides the compactness of the display or in simple words the clarity of the display. HTC 310 has 218 pixel density which is low for 4.5-inch display phone. Thanks to the UI installed in the phone which helps the display to look more vibrant and attractive. Display of the phone will fall in average rating.

    Hardware and Performance:

Phone is distributed in the category of powerful, medium and entry-level phone only after considering the hardware installed in the smartphone. From the release of Samsung S3 and HTC One X world moved one step ahead on smartphone technology from that time all the mobile manufacturers started making phone with quad-core processors. HTC 310 also packs 1.3GHz Cortex-A7 quad-core processor and 1GB RAM on Mediatek MT6582M chipset. Now this is a smart way to cut down the price of the phone by installing Mediatek chipset on smartphone. HTC has adopted this strategy and came up with its new phone.

Mediatek chipset also houses with Mali-400 GPU which is installed to take care of HD gaming or every graphic related instructions given on phone. Phone has 4GB internal storage to save all your favourite apps and is also expandable with the help of memory card. Quad-core processor and 1GB RAM is sufficient to handle all your computing necessity. You will not find any issue while operating this phone and you will feel the power of quad-core processor from its performance itself. There will be some drawbacks in the phone as it is designed as a budget phone not a high-end phone model.

    Operating System and UI:

HTC 310 is powered by Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS which is very common in budget phones these days. Though itís a bit outdated one compared to the smartphones with 4.4 version, you can experience massive range of apps and other features on this phone. May be HTC has decided to give an update to this phone later.

HTC phones come with HTC Sense UI and this phone too has same UI of HTC Sense 5.1 which is also called as Blinkfeed. Blinkfeed will help you to connect with your social network or any service from web in to a striking tiled interface. Due to this interface, touch and looks of the display feels rich and fast.

    Re: HTC Desire 310 Review

Very important section of the phone is camera; HTC was the company to pioneer Ultra pixel camera phone on its HTC One that grabbed attention of world and phone turned to be a great success. If we talk about HTC 310 then you should know that this is a budget phone so you will not experience ultra-pixel camera on this phone but rather HTC has given good 5MP camera which shoots sharper and clear images.

You can capture images in 2592 ? 1944 pixels which is quite good and images captured has good colour reproduction on it. Primary camera of the phone does not have flash which means this phone will not be a good option while capturing low-light scenes. Video can be captured on 1080p resolution which is quite good feature for 5MP camera phone at budget level. Phone also has front camera of VGA resolution which will help you to make video calls from your phone comfortably.

Battery is an important hardware of a smartphone as it serves the phone with power to run all day long. HTC has provided 2000mAh battery strength on this phone which will help you to browse or play games or watch movies for long time. Phone has amazing standby time of 852 hours and talk time of more than 10 hours which is quite good estimated time. Battery is removable so in case of any issues you can easily replace the battery with the new one.

HTC has made a smart move by releasing a budget smartphone because HTC phones are said to be a status phone and low-end phone of HTC will grab the attention in the market. This phone is provided with large display of 4.5-inch which is very good for work and entertainment, but HTC could have made use of Super LCD to enhance the display features.

Phone has good hardware configuration of Mediatek chipset which is not a reason to worry, as all phones with Mediatek chipsets are performing well. It has good camera but flash is missing which will limit the photography to bright scenes. Battery of the phone is good but not impressive. Heavy gaming and video play back will drain the battery in very few hours. Overall it is good phone and letís wait and watch its performance in this highly competitive market.
