    Display / Screen :

Now a day the phone has common screen size of 5-inch and so to cope up with market, Xolo has introduced 5-inch display phone to Q1100 phone. Phone comes with HD resolution of 1280x720 pixels with pixel density of 294ppi making the screen look more compact in colors. Display has One-glass solution technology and with the help of this OGS technology display offers vibrant colors and decent viewing angle. Brightness of the phone is dim and seems very low in auto brightness mode. You need to adjust your screen according to the outdoor light to make display function accordingly.

Sunlight readability of most of the Xolo phones are just average and so is average of Q1100. Phone has big issue of fingerprint marks and the screen is reflective, if two people are viewing pictures and videos then one can have proper view but another will face reflection problem with the screen of the phone. Overall we can come to a point that screen of the Q1100 is just average and with respect to the cost of the phone it is acceptable.

    Hardware and Performance:

As Xolo Q1100’s performance is supported by the Snapdragon processor, we need not worry about the performance of the phone due to this branded processor. Snapdragon processor is used for the first time in Xolo phones and Q1100 would be the one holding it. Phone is packedwith 1.4GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 400 ARM Cortex-A7 processor and 1GB RAM. So four core processor will look out all your computing instruction and multi-threading easily and 1GB RAM is great for smooth multitasking and preventing phone to face a stage of dead-lock.

Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and RAM provided in the phone is enough to take care of all apps running at same time. Adreno 305 GPU will take care of your graphics on your phone. If you would like to play HD games on your phone then you will definitely like this phone as phone helps to play all your games easily without any lag or stutter. Android 4.3Jelly Bean will take care of your games and entertainment as it is compatible with most of the HD games. Phone has 8GB internal memory to store all your favorite stuff and is also expandable with the help of memory slot available. So save all your data on to your Xolo phone without worrying about the memory space shortage.

    Re: Xolo Q1100 Smartphone Review

Q1100 is given with 8MP camera with LED flash at back; 8MP camera has BSI 2 Sensor for better clicks. Photos captured were good with the camera provided, images were good but some images came out noisy in daylight because of focus issue of phone. Mostly macro focus in camera showed noisy result and low light images was very noisy even with flash.Camera UI is different in this phone as the phone is not powered by MediaTek processors which are common in most of the Xolo phones.

New camera UI gives different settings to customize for a better click every time. Camera has features like HDR, Panorama, Geo-tagging and many more, camera has different options in scene mode like Auto, Night, ASD, Beach, Sunset, Candlelight and Fireworks etc so choose the mode according to the situation and get perfect click. Different focus mode to adjust focus and different picture quality to choose so overall camera has ample of features.Video can be shot at full HD resolution which is 1080p and front camera would support you to make video call and video chat comfortably.

    Software and User Interface:

Q1100 is running on Android 4.3 JellyBean operating system and is also a first phone to have Android 4.3 Jelly Bean in Xolo. You will be able to use all the features of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean such as Quick Settings, rich notifications, option to open the camera directly from the lock screen, lockscreen widgets, Daydream and a lot more.

With the updated OS Android 4.3 you will observe lot of improvement in speed, performance and TRIM support for improved memory management. OS installed in Xolo comes with many preinstalled apps like Google utilities and Xolo Secure and Xolo Power apps. Different language support is also available in this new OS.

Moving to battery backup of Q1100, it is powered by 2000 mAh battery which is not sufficient for the phone heaving with latest and superfast processors. Battery will support phone for a day but only for an average users, if you are heavy browser or heavy gamer then you will find the battery of the phone very unsatisfactory as it will last for less than a day.

You can depend on the battery saver apps to push it a bit longer and also keep the connectivity options off when not in need as it consumes a lot of battery.

Overall, the Xolo Q1100 is an average phone from Xoloin mediocre range. It impresses in build and performance and latest Android 4.3 OS. Camera output was a bit disappointing and since it’s a low budget phone you will have to compromise with the camera. Display has One-glass solution but is reflective and very glossy which leads to finger mark on display.

Battery of the phone is also big reason to worry because this phone will suit only to those who have average use of smartphone. You can opt for this phone for its performance and user interface. I wouldn’t say the battery life and camera is the best in the midrange smartphones available.
