How to record Desktop screen using Chrome Addon

I was searching for a free desktop capture software. Found few stuffs such as Screen o Matic and all but at one place i also read a small comment saying we can also capture the screen using Chrome Browser. Actually Chrome add-on. The guy has not provided much info about the same. I dont know which add-on was he talking about. If this can really be done using an add-on, it is going to be very helpful. So, does anyone here know what is the name of that extension that helps to record the screen? I tried searching the store but didn't found it. Please help.

There are several Chrome add-ons that allows you to capture your entire desktop but personal what I found best is the TechSmith Snagit. It is a free extension for your chrome browser, installs in seconds and allow you to upload the data directly to Google Drive.

It also offers some enhancement stuffs to grab images to use for presentations, research papers, or handouts. Add text, arrows, or shapes to draw attention to exactly what matters.

I use Full Page Screen Capture for capturing the image but I wanted to confirm where you just want to capture the screenshot or a video? If you are looking to record video screen then there is no extension for the same.

You will need to use other tools like Screen-O-Matic or Debut Video Capture Software. Both are free. Debut Video Capture is also a spy cam like software allows you to record everything you want with several formats and options.
