    Display / Screen:

People are accustomed to judging the phone by its display, if the display quality is great then the phone is expected to be good. Intex Aqua Octa has a huge screen of 6.3 inches and the screen is made with One-Glass solution that makes the display look really impressive. Display has a resolution of 1280x720 which means half HD with 245ppi.

Screen has good viewing angle and there is no visible dark shade when you see the phone from a side. Display has bright and good color reproduction but has poor sunlight legibility. One-Glass solution was the good choice from Intex, there is no color loss when we tilt the phone. If you are prone to watching movies and playing games then this phone is apt as the quality is quite good. reading text is also comfortable due to 245ppi.

Texts look very distinct and clear on the huge screen. You can read even on the normal font size and there won’t be much need to zoom in.

Good quality camera has become one of the basic essentials for the smartphones. Intex has attached a 13MP camera to this handset to click bright pictures and create wonderful memories.Camera is really good but not the best 13MP camera in the market. Outdoor shooting is fine but indoor click are disappointing.LED flash is provided to shoot in low light areas but clicking the picture in the low-light without flash gives slightly terrible results.

You can shoot video of 1080p resolution with 13MP camera of Aqua Intex which looks really impressive. Videos in Full HD have a good quality of sound too.Front camera is powered by 5MP camera so now you can click self-portrait or try video call very easily. Camera has two main highlights of Live Photo Mode and Motion Track mode. With Live Photo you can take short video and with Motion Track mode you can click the picture in burst mode.

On few outdoor images slight pink tinge was visible also focusing is not very proper; sometimes images gets slightly blurred.13MP camera comes with very high expectation which is clearly not fulfilled by this one.

    Operating System and user Interface:

Intex Aqua Octa will operate on Android 4.2.2 JellyBean and the UI will be the same as for all MediaTek powered smartphones in the market. It should have been at least Android 4.3 JellyBean, may be Intex have plansto give the update later on its flagship. Aqua Octa has lockscreen widgets, Quick settings, Daydream features and many more.

Intex has good UI and settings to make the work of users easier. You cannot change the theme of the phone, to change the theme of the phone you need to depend on third-party apps. Intex Aqua Octa has some preloaded apps like BigFlixLite, Intex Cloud with free storage, Getit, Flash Player etc. Many games come preloaded in this phone which would be really good for users. Quick Settings toggles are provided for quick access to the settings and also to enable the settings like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi etc. easily.

Re: Intex Aqua Octa Review - Powerful smartphone with 6 inch IPS HD and 1.7GHz Octa core

    Hardware and Performance:

Intex has tried well to give a proper design and hardware to its new flagship as per the requirements of the world for a good design and fantastic performance. So to handle this huge processor speed huge RAM memory is required and Aqua Octa is given 2GB of RAM; so now all the heavy processing and multitasking will be just easy job for Aqua Octa.

Intex Aqua is stuffed with very good hardware like of Octa-Core processor and 2GB RAM with Mali 450-MP4 GPU. All these three are the key feature responsible for the performance of the phone. Multitasking and heavy graphic instruction is handled very well on this phone without any lag. If you are playing HD games in this phone then also you won’t find any lag or stutter while playing the game, thanks to powerful 1.66GHz Octa-core processor and Heterogeneous Multi-Processing (HMP).

So opening multi-window and playing HD games and watching videos is no problem in Intex’s Aqua Octa phone. Performance of this phone is impressive and performance wise we can conclude that the phone is a good value for money.

    Battery Life:

Intex Aqua Octa has removable battery of 2300 mAh which is fine but not the best. Phone is featured with powerful processor and big screen. To serve this hardware you need real backup power which is not really provided in this phone. So heavy browsers and heavy gamers will not be satisfied by the battery power of this phone.

Intex has provided CPU power saving in this phone, which saves power when the CPU is idle. Battery should have been more powerful to serve all day performance with this phone. You will have to depend on the battery saver apps to push the battery life to its maximum. Average users would be able to use the phone for one long day without charging.

Intex Aqua Octa is powerful phone with good performance but the phone lacks in Camera and Battery section. Camera should have been of a better quality and battery needs to be more powerful so that phone could perform better. If we talk about the pros in the phone then you will come to the point that phone is well built, provides good performance with huge internal memory that can be expanded further with the help of microSD card.

Furthermore the quality of the display is really good too.For music lovers the phone has a good loudspeaker output. So if you are a photographer then it’s not the best option for you but if you are looking around for a fast processing phone where you can browse through apps and internet and even play heavy games then this should be a good option.
