    Re: Xiaomi Mi3 Review

    Display / Screen:

As per the display of this new flagship is concerned, Xiaomi has 5 inch full HD display of resolution 1900x1080. Xiaomi has used LCD display with IPS (In Plane Switch) technology. It is Full HD with 441 ppi density IPS display giving outputs that are really bright and gives sharper images as well as superior viewing angle too. Which means the display will not shade out or colors will not wash out when you tilt the phone.

With good viewing angle and good sunlight readability too it gives a comfortable reading experience. Pick up any of your favorite ebook and enjoy reading it comfortably on the huge screen. Text is very clear even on small font and is easily legible. Screen looks really cool as front side is full laminated glass type looks adding to the beauty of this third generation of Xiamoi phone. With 441ppi, good viewing angle and huge screen, watching HD videos is a real delight.

    Operating system and User Interface:

Phone runs on Android 4.2.1 version and like of HTC, Sony, Samsung and Motorola, Mi3 also uses its own interface which is MIUI V5. You can have different UI experience on your MI3. MIUI has software skin feature which will help you to change 1000 of themes making your phone looks new every day. MIUI interface resemble lot to Apple iOS so you can have Apple touch experience on your MI3.

Touch is smooth and response after instruction is also very fast, thanks to latest processor and RAM stuffed in the phone. Phone will also have additional features like of Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and GPS which is quite common and obvious in all the latest smartphone. It has all the features of the android OS like the notification screen, quick settings options etc. Phone is customizable as per users’ needs and offers many shortcuts to make life comfortable.

    Hardware and Performance:

Phones are now placed in category with respect to the hardware they posses and higher the configuration of components better and faster will be the smartphone. Xiamoi MI3 is powered Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor which is the recent obsession of all smartphone manufacturers.

Along with the powerful processor Xiaomi is stuffed with 2GB RAM. Big processor and big RAM require huge space for better performance, so MI3 is provided with 16GB phone memory space. Unfortunately the memory is non expandable which might be an issue for those liking to store huge number of games and apps in their phone. Overall performance seems good; multitasking is smooth and apps runs fast and does not crash.

    Re: Xiaomi Mi3 Review

    Camera:

Good camera in smartphone has become a basic need of all the users to click good pictures anytime anywhere. Xiaomi has approached Sony for its camera technology. So the new MI3 is featured with Sony’s Exmor sensor which will click picture with top resolution of 13MP. Camera of this phone has wide-angle of 28mm and assisted with dual-LED flash. MI3 has 2 MP front camera which will allow you to have a video chat and video call with ease.

Click of the phone comes very vivid and you can observe every minute detail in the picture clicked by your MI3 phone. Video recording is possible at 1080p and looks dynamic. Indoor photos assisted by flash looks good, low light photos are average. Outdoor photos with bright light look lively and sharp. There are many options in the camera to adjust the settings as per user’s requirement. Xiaomi has made a good move with powering their camera with Sony’s Exmor.

    Battery:

Battery is 3,050 mAh which is good decision by Xiaomi manufacturer, so with this battery power you can operate the Mi3 for a really long time. In recent times we have seen that most of the Smartphones are being launched with the heavy battery like this as ordinary battery hardly supports the heavy gaming and applications of such phones. Even if you are heavy gamer or you are heavy browser or music maniac this phone will serve you with the best performance.

As Xiaomi MI3 is made as unibody so it’s obvious that battery is non-removable. You can advantage of the battery saver apps by third party that helps to manage the battery better and push the battery life as long as possible. However, if you are an average user the battery would last for a more than a day very easily.

    Conclusion:

Phone seems to be best in terms of design and hardware. User interface is great with a number of customization options. There is no specification of support to 4G LTE network. Phone will stay in China itself as it is powered with Tegra-4 (TD) model which will support only TD-SCDMA radios, which is tuned only for China’s mobile network. MI3 is also powered with Snapdragon 800 processor which is likely to be sold globally. Price of this full-featured phone is 1999 Chinese Yuan or you can say 327 USD.

The sad part is there is no micro SD slot, so you are left with two options one is 16GB and second is 64GB but with the memory rise you will find rise in cost of MI3 phone model too. If you aren’t very brand conscious then it’s a good option.
