    Update Samsung Galaxy S2 to Android 4.4 using Custom Rom

    Samsung has come up with various Android Phones. After Samsung Nexus S, now on similar lines a new Android is introduced – “Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100G”. This device also receives unofficial Android 4.4 Kitkat via OmniROM. With help of ‘Jiangya’, XDA Senior developer, a fully working ROM is released for Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100G. OmniROM is a customROM developed by XplodWild, Chainfire and other XDA members.

    So eventually for the users who are ready to go ahead with Android Kitkat 4.4 can follow the tutorial provided to install OmniROM on galaxy s2. Here we will give you a step by step procedure to install OmniROM Android 4.4 Custom ROM on your Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100G Smartphone.     Follow these steps carefully because a small mistake can create problems for your phone. Also note that although we have tested this rom on out Galaxy S2 and is working good, we are not responsible for any damage happens to your phone. Here is how you need to install Android 4.4 Kitkat on Galaxy S2:

    Installation Process:

    • First of all connect your Phone to the computer using USB Cable where those downloaded files are saved. Copy both Rom package and Gapps on your phone's SD Card. make sure to copy it in the Root of SD Card so that it can be access easily during the process.
    • Once copied, disconnect the cable and turn off the phone.
    • After it is completely turned off, press and hold Volume UP + Home + Power key to boot into Recovery Mode.
    • Now scroll down using Volume rockers and select “Wipe data/Factory reset”
    • Now select “Wipe Cache Partition”
    • Now scroll at the bottom and select 'Advanced' option, then select “Wipe Dalvik Cache“
    • Once done, come back to the main recovery menu and select install zip from SD card.
    • Now browse to your SD Card where you have saved the Rom Package and select it.
    • It will start installing the ROM. Wait and let it complete.
    • once done, repeat the process and install GApps and install it.
    • After both installation is completed, come back to the main Recovery Menu and select the very top option "Reboot system now".

    Your phone will take bit long time to reboot as this is the first time boot with new ROM, so keep patience. That's it. Now enjoy your Samsung Galaxy S2 with brand new Android 4.4 Kitkat Custom ROM.
