Android 4.4.2 KitKat update now available for Galaxy Note 3

As we know as of now Kitkat Update is only available for Google's own Nexus devices and Motorola's few flagship smartphones, which is also Google's own company. Now there is one more smartphone, outside Google, which will be running on latest Android 4.4.2 Kitkat operating system. Yes, Samsung has finally rolled out the latest update for their Flagship Premium Phablet Note 3.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 was launched earlier in November with Android 4.3 JellyBean. Since then this is the major official update which directly brings Kitkat 4.4.4. However as of now the updated has started rolling out only in Poland. The update may take few more weeks to reach India or other countries. Also the bad news is that this update is only released for Note 3 SM-N9005 which is the Snapdragon Variant.

In poland, the update is only available through Samsung's own PC Suite, Kies. Hopefully it will be released soon over OTA. With this huge update, obviously users will get All Kitkat Features along with some more from samsung such as you get the camera shortcut and Full screen music album art on lock screen itself, Status bar icons turned into white.

Here are some important info about the Firmware update:

    Country: Poland
    Version: Android 4.4.2
    Changelist: 340325

    Product Code: XEO
    PDA: N9005XXUENA6

    MODEM: N9005XXUENA2

Wow, Samsung seems very active for its latest Flasghip phablet users. They already releasing Kitkat. What about galaxy Note 2 ?? It is still running on Jellybean even its been about 2 years since its release.

Is there any chance of getting Kitkat 4.4 for Note 2?

Finally Indian Note 3 users also can have Android 4.4.2 Kitkat on their devices. Samsung started rolling out kitkat update about 10 days ago for a specific reason. Now it is also available for India over OTA as well as through KIES.

The update is about 361 MB in size, hence make sure you are connected to WiFi if planning to go with OTA.
