Google launched Android 4.4 (Kitkat) update couple of weeks ago with Nexus 5 smartphone. Since then all manufacturers have started working / porting for their devices. Google rolled out the update for few of their other nexus devices. But today surprisingly a news came that Motorola has already rolled out the Kitkat 4.4 Update for their Moto X smartphone. It is surprising because even Nexus 5 has not got the Kitkat, and Motorola already made it available for Moto X. However the update is only available for Verizon Moto X and will be soon available for all Moto X users around the world.

The new software update brings several new Kitkat features to the device along with bug fixes and enhancements. Here is the complete list of features we receive with this update:

If you are Verison Moto X user and haven't received the update notification yet, just follow these steps and update it right away:

  • Tap Settings icon > About phone.
  • Tap on System updates.
  • The software will download automatically. Once completed, tap on Install now.
  • Phone will reboot automatically. Once installed, you will see your device running on 140.45.5.ghost_verizon.Verizon.en.US.
