How to install Official Jellybean 4.3 XXUEMJ5 Firmware in Galaxy S4 via ODIN

Samsung Galaxy S4 has received official Jellybean update. The version is 4.3 XXUEMJ5. This new firmware is capable of giving you more reliable operation and great output. So here you can go ahead with a manual update. I am going to show you how to get that update and install it manually in the system. You can do that with the help of powerful flash tool for Samsung called as ODIN. Many of you had not performed the update or having a slow internet network. And updating your phone on that is a time consuming process. So here you can use my manual method and get the new update in your phone.

So letís move ahead with the process in detail. You must remember that this is an official update. It is not going to add any benefits, but it will give you the official ROM. So if you had rooted your device then it will unroot it back.

    • Make sure your phone as atleast 70% of battery charged because if it got drained during the process, you might be in huge problem.
    • Backup your all contacts, sms and other details from the same. The update will wipe out all the internal content. So backup them and then only go ahead with the procedure. You can use apps like Titanium Backup for the same.
    • Enable USB Debugging mode. To do so go in Settings and click on Application. In that click on Development and click on usb debugging.
    • Download ODIN on your pc. Keep it on the desktop
    • Download and install original Samsung USB drivers on your system. If you are unable to find that on web then install Samsung Kies.
    • Download Jellybean 4.3 XXUEMJ5 firmware files.

    Installation Method:

    • Connect the Samsung Galaxy S4 device with PC through original Samsung usb cable.
    • Check once again that your system has Samsung usb drivers. If it is not properly installed then the phone will remain undetected.
    • Turn off your phone and connect it with computer using USB Cable
    • Boot the phone in download mode. For that hold the Volume Down key + Home button. Wait for while until you see Samsung logo.
    • The phone is now in download model. Connect the device with pc and launch ODIN.
    • If the phone is connected you can see a blue color under ID:Com. That means the phone is connected and drivers are properly installed.
    • Click on PDA first. And navigate to the folder where you had kept all the downloaded files. Select the file that end with pda.
    • Click on Start. The process will take some time and will restore the original stock rom back on the phone. You can verify the version number under Settings.
