The LG nexus 4 is a great phone by LG with some impressive features. The performance of this handset can be further enhanced by rooting the LG NEXUS 4. Rooting this phone is quite easy. When you root your handset there would be hardware as well software change. Most of the time the rooting process can be done very safely. Follow the steps carefully and root your phone.

Before rooting your phone ensure that your handset is 75% charged. Fully charge your handset that would be better.

  • Connect your nexus 4 with the PC using USB.
  • Backup the data your phone, there are chances that your phone may loose all the data.
  • Now lets start with the rooting process, so for this start Bootloader mode on your handset and which can be started by pressing and holding volume up, volume Down and power button altogether so get into Bootloader of your phone.
  • Next step is to download all the rooting tools and drivers.
  • In Bootloader mode, open Command Prompt on your computer from start menu and run it as Administrator.
  • Now connect your phone to PC via USB Cable and type the following commands in Command Prompt: Cd desktop, cd RootNexus4 and fastboot oem unlock simultaneously.
  • On your Nexus 4, you need to unlock the bootloader by pressing volume up + Power button and on PC you need to type fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork- in the Command Prompt Window.
  • After this step you need to wipe out the data or reset your phone as factory reset by selecting yes on the screen and go back.
  • Your phone will start booting so now transfer the file that you have downloaded and saved in memory card.
  • Once this process completes disconnect the phone and now press volume up + volume down and power button
  • press twice the button of volume up and then power button to get in to ‘ClockworkMod Recovery’.
  • Now select install zip from SD card option and then select choose zip from SD card, now enter to “0/” folder and select” and then tap yes, which will start the process and wait till the process complete and then go back and select ‘Reboot System Now’ and you will observe that your Nexus 4 is rooted successfully with CWM recovery.
