Just like all other smartphones, you may also require to root your Galaxy S4 Active smartphone in order to unlock its all features and Super user access. Today we will see how we can root the device using Odin Software. Rooting Galaxy S4 Active is easy but before starting the process make sure your meet the following requirement:

  • Make sure you have atleast 70% of battery charged before starting the process.
  • Backup the entire phone so that you wont loose any of your important data.
  • Download the CF-Root Package from here.
  • Download ODIN software from here and save both the files on your desktop.

Follow these simple rooting process:

  • First of all unzip both Odin and CF Root package on your desktop in separate folders.
  • Turn off Galaxy S4 Active and connect it using USB Cable to your computer
  • Press and Hold volume down + home + power button together to boot the device in download mode.
  • Press Volume up button when you see message on the display to get in to Download Mode.
  • Now launch Odin from the extracted folder by double clicking odin3-vX.X.exe
  • Under Odin, click PDA and browse/select CF-Auto-Root-....tar.md5 file from the extracted Root package.
  • Make sure Repartition option is unchecked.
  • Now click on Start button on Odin and leave your system.

Let the Odin do its work. Installation will take few minutes. You can see the progress on your phone screen as well as on Odin. Once completed you will see "Pass" message on Odin and your phone should restart automatically. That's it. Congratulations, your Samsung Galaxy S4 Active is now rooted successfully.
