Requirements :

  • Download Nocturnal MergeX ROM for HTC One X
  • Go on the official site of HTC and download HTC Sync. This tool will help you to backup your data. It also installs the usb driver for One X device which helps the phone to communicate with pc.
  • Backup your phone completely. Backup the data and other settings through tool like Titanium backup that allows you a easy restore facility.
  • Rooted HTC One X Phone. Follow the guide. The rom works on rooted phone only. You will need to install CWM on your device to install this custom OS.
  • Download Google Apps Package.

Steps to install Nocturnal MergeX Custom ROM

  • First connect the Phone to your PC and then transfer Nocturnal MergeX Custom ROM and Google Apps package to the memory card. Remember that this process will wipe out everything from your device. So better take backup.
  • Restart your phone in CWM Recovery mode. For that press the volume down key with power for some time. If your device is not rooted then your phone will stuck on Fast Boot mode. Refer the above linked guide for rooting.
  • Using the Volume key select Full Data Wipe. Then wipe cache partition and Dalvik Cache.
  • Now use the power key to select Install from SD Card. It will show you the Nocturnal MergeX Custom ROM. Select it and wait for some time. The installation process will begin. Once the setup is over you have to restart the phone back again.
