The following article contains the step by step process of installing CyanogenMod 10 on HTC One X. It is necessary that you must root your device before doing the same. There is a rooting guide separately available on this forums that you can look for. Now here we will run CyanogenMod 10 Mode on HTC One X plus. If you want more features and complete access to the device ROM you can simply install this mode. Remember that this Custom ROMs are not official so there can be bugs. It is necessary that you backup your phone first before moving ahead with the update.


Steps to install CyanogenMod 10 on HTC One X:

  • Ensure that your device is rooted. If you are not sure then you can check that by Root Checker Application.
  • Copy CyanogenMod 10.1 M3 ROM (For HTC One X Only) and copy the same to the Memory Card.
  • Restart your mobile in Recovery Mode. For that home the volume up key + power button for some time. The device will boot in Recovery Mode. You will see a black screen which is the CWM Recovery Menu. If your device is not rooted or if you had not installed CWM in your device then you will get a white screen with little option.
  • Through CWM Recovery tap on Full DATA Wipe. Wipe Cache Partition and Dalvik Cache.
  • Using the volume key tap on Install from Memory Card. Choose the CyanogenMod 10.1 M3 ROM and then run the setup.
  • Wait for some while until the entire process is completed. The setup will take some time to complete.
  • Once the setup is over the device will boot in CyanogenMod ROM
  • That’s it. You are done. Your device is now running on new Custom Jelly Bean 4.2 ROM.
