Telecom ministry plans to wave off roaming charges, but call rates may hike

Have you guys seen the news. Mr. Kapil Sibal said that there will be no roaming charges from next year. But at some places I had read that telecom providers are planing to risk the call rates.

Today we can easily get a connection with 1 paise per second. I hope they are not going to hike this. As we are already crushed below petrol and lpg price rise.

That is not great. It is beneficial for those who travels a lot. And regular roaming charges does not cost fortune. Those are some few bucks. The government should plan to release free phones to people. As they are already earning great from taxes, inflation and scams. At least people can get satisfied with something.

Good for roamers. As STD disappeared soon Roaming will be as well. What remain are phone and the population. It looks we must talk about something more serious here.

That is not an achievement. The same guy told to provide world’s cheapest tablet which is yet not received by many. I hope the government took serious something about 3G. That is too costly till now and the service is like hell.
