IE 9 Error: "Internet Explorer can not display the webpage"

Need some urgent help guys.. Recently downloaded and installed Internet explorer 9 on my Windows 7 system. There was no problem in installation process but since the first time i tried to open any page, it gives me an error saying "Internet Explorer can not display the webpage"

What could be the problem ?? I checked my internet connection, its working fine. I can open pages comfortably with Firefox 4 but not with IE.

    Please help.

As you said your internet connection is working properly, possibly there could be Firewall interference. You should check out this Microsoft Article:

I'll suggest you to reset your router once though you said your connection is proper. To do the same, follow below steps:

    • disconnect the cable connecting the computer to the modem.
    • Turn off the modem and router.
    • Restart the computer.
    • When the computer has restarted, turn on the modem or router, connect the cable from the computer to the modem or router, and restart the computer.
    • Make sure all network cables are securely connected.
    • Start Internet Explorer.

here is how you can do the same, just follow few steps below:

Just follow the below Path in your windows 7 system:
    Control Panel\System and Security\Windows Firewall\Customize Settings
OR simply type "Firewall' in the start menu, you will get the same. Here disable the firewall temporarily and See the documentation or the product manufacturer for instructions. For contact information, see "More Information". Start Internet Explorer and see if an error message occurs now.

let me know the results. ;D
