After Nokia, its Samsung to launch a Touch and Type smartphone named “Samsung Galaxy Chat”. This new handset is running on Android Ice Cream Sandwich having 3-inch QVGA capacitive touchscreen offering 240 x 320 pixels resolutions as well as QWERT keypad. According to this its clear that Samsung has designed the device specially for socially active users as well as Android fans. Because there is no other device with running on ICS have QWERT physical keypad .
Though running with ICS, Galaxy Chat is a device with medium configuration. It is powered by 850MHz processor, having 2 megapixel rear Camera (no front facing camera), 4GB Internal Storage that can be expanded using external Micro SD Card. As it is said above, for making the Social Networking much easier Samsung has pre-loaded own ChatON communication service that can be launched with the provided dedicated key.
Other than this, Galaxy Chat is also compatible with Wi-Fi, USB 2.0 for connectivity options and Bluetooth 3.0 for file transfer. Weighing just 112g, the device also offers a good battery life upto 13hours with the provided 1,200 mAh battery. There is no official announcement at the cost of Galaxy Chat and as per its launch, Samsung will probably launch the smartphone right this month but only in spain. It will take bit more time to reach other countries.
