Battery draining quickly after updating iPhone 4S to IOS 5.1.1

Hi, I am using an iPhone 4S since last 8 months. It was working great with iOS 5.0. I recently found a news where i read that Apple has rolled an update for iOS to 5.1.1. So as my firmware was too old, i updated it to the latest. But since than i realize that my iPhone's battery is draining quickly compared to earlier.

As this is my first ever iPhone and Apple product, i dont have any idea what to do. Could you guys please help ? All helps will be appreciated.

Well, you are not just alone buddy. There are thousands of user facing the same problem, even since iOS 5.0 update. Anyways, before we start some troubleshooting, i would like to know if your iPhone is Jailbreaked ? If yes, than don't try the following steps. And if its not, just go through the following:

    • Tab on Settings, than go to Journal.
    • Now Tap on Reset and select Reset all settings.
    • You will be prompted to enter Password. Enter the same and Tap on Reset.
    • The phone will reboot. Once it is back, charge your battery until it gets 100%

These steps wont work for sure, but it helped many people. Hope you are one of them.

The said problem occurs even if there would be any mistake while upgrading to latest iOS. So, i would like to suggest to re-install the firmware again. But make sure to do this via iTunes. I can say you this because i have been through this scenario and it worked for me.
