    How to Remove 'Get Windows 10' Upgrade Icon from System Tray

    Its been about a year to Windows 10 final release. Specifically, July 29th is the 1st anniversary of Windows 10 and that's the date until when people can upgrade their PCs to Windows 10 for Free. Thereafter, it will be $119.

    How do you get the free upgrade? Well, you will find a 'Get Windows 10' icon in your system tray if you are running genuine Windows 7 or Windows 8/8.1. The icon appears automatically if you have enabled automatic windows update. Many of us, who wanted to upgrade their PCs to Windows 10 would have already upgraded so far. And those who dont want to upgrade, would be trying how to get rid of that Windows 10 Icon from the system tray, right?

    If you are among the one who dont want that icon to be their can follow the procedure below. There are actually two ways of Removing 'Get Windows 10' Upgrade Icon from system tray. Let's have a look at them.

    Method 1: Never 10 Executable

    The easiest way of removing that Windows 10 icon is using 'Never 10', an executable app that dont require any installation or any expertize of coding. You just nee to Download never 10, double click to RUN and follow the Onscreen instruction. It will auto detect if Windows 10 upgrade is enabled on your system. If it is, you will see a 'Remove Windows10 Files' button at bottom right. Just click the same and done

    Method 2: KB3035583

    • Go to Control Panel and Select ‘program and features’.
    • Select 'View installed updates’ from the top left of the window. And when you see the installed updates, search for KB3035583.
    • Select ‘Update for Microsoft Windows (KB3035583)’ from the installed update list and click Uninstall button directly above the listing of the update.
