Black Screen on Toshiba NB100 laptop showing

Hello, I am a student using Toshiba NB100 Laptop since two months. But now a days am getting some problem with the same.

When I start laptop it shows black screen. i can feel that laptop is started because of its vibration. I restarted it many times but it is showing the same result.

Is there any problem in my Operating system (Windows XP) or am having problem with its any hardware?? Please help.

Even i had the same problem with exactly the same model, Toshiba NB100, long back ago. I got the same problem as soon as my warranty got finished. After several attempts I tried to open the laptop and removed the RAM for a few time, test it and put it back. I tried stating the laptop and guess what, it worked. You should try doing the same if you are aware of doing the same. Or else get it done from some hardware guy.

It is possible that your screen is not working. If you are having external monitor then attach it with your laptop. Check how is it working? Then only you will be able to observe whether it is hardware problem or monitor.

I have found this problem with many people. It actually happens with every single laptop of this model. But the best solution we get it at TOSHIBA Service Centre. They will keep the laptop under observation for at least 48 hours to resolve the problem whether it is hardware or operating System. Instead of trying anything of yoruself, better get it done from service center.
