    Qualcomm introduces Gobi 945 LTE Multimode Modem offering upto 450 Mbps download speed

    Qualcomm, the global chip vendor has announced its new Multimode modem Codenamed ‘Gobi 9x45 LTE’ it’s the fifth generation Multimode Solution for all Smartphone devices and Global cellular modem. Qualcomm is presently serving this modem for testing and other regulations for proper configuration whether the modem is cleared with all sorts of issues it could represent when officially released to the consumers. But the original Qualcomm modem will be available in 2015.

    The Gobi 9x45 multimode modem is the first Categorized 10 LTE Cellular modem with the support for global Carrier Aggregation (CA) which can range the download speeds up to 450 Mbps whereas the upload speeds are up to 100 Mbps, the Carrier Aggregation (CA) across the TDD which uses and unpaired spectrum that evolved from TD-SCDMA and the paired spectrum FDD that comes from a migration path of the 3G network.

    Others Feature represents the modem is built up on the 2nd- generation 20nm technology node and is able to support 60 MHz (3 x CA) in the downlink and up to 40 MHz (2 x CA) for the uplink connection. The Gobi 9 x 45 modem is a collection of all major cellular standards, which includes DC-HSPA, EVDO, CDMA 1x, GSM and TD-SCDMA, supports all major band combinations and RF bands.

    Qualcomm Gobi 945 integrates the latest and the present Global positioning system for all major constellations like GPS, GLONASS, Beidou and Galileo. The multimode modem also features support for LTE Broadcast, VoLTE and LTE Dual SIM.

    The download speed up to 450 Mbps and 100 Mbps upload speed of the modem generate 2x faster upload speed and 1.5x faster download speed when compared to Category 6 of LTE devices. This forms a major development for telecom operators to use the maximum spectrum resources available and delivering higher user data rates.
