    Skipping the Intro Videos:

    Navigate to the Game’s Directory where you have installed the game, \DATA\UI\MOVIES. After opening up the folder just delete these three files or rename them for being stop playing in the game; AMD_IDENT.USM, FOX_IDENT.USM, CA_IDENT.USM

    Your save game file location can be found here, <Steam-folder>\userdata\<user-id>\214490\remote

    Configuration File Location for Alien: Isolation:

    Go to this location to find the config file: <Steam-folder>\userdata\<user-id>\214490\local

    Black Screen Problem or Random Crashes:

    Black Screen and the Random Crashes are the two major problems that usually a person gets. If you want to sort out the issue for this game, check whether your Graphic Card Drivers are up to date. Check for that before playing the game your V- Sync is turned off and also check for the resolution on which you are playing the game. You can also verify your integrity of your game from Steam and this sometime helps too. Try updating your NVidia and AMD GPU Drivers which is the most important part to remove the Black Screen and Random Crashing issue.

    Flickering and Stuttering Screen Fix:

    There is always the issue when the monitors refresh rate doesn’t match the output rate for the game, try to change it and make it compatible. Also try to find out the issue if there is any peripheral cable that might be giving you na issue. Check what other accessories are attached on the computer in many cases these kind things gives you flickering and stuttering display’s.

    Modifying the FOV for Alien: Isolation :

    FOV stands for Field of View. Alien: Isolation has a standard FOV of 75 and if you would like it to increase or decrease, then just go to Alien Isolation\DATA and find the ENGINE_SETTINGS.xml file and try to open it on Notepad. Once it is open, search for these lines and from the third line, you can set the values for your desired Field Of View;

    <setting name=”Field Of View”>
    <quality name=”47? float=”47.0? precedence=”7?></quality>
    <quality name=”50? float=”50.0? precedence=”6?></quality>
    <quality name=”55? float=”55.0? precedence=”5?></quality>
    <quality name=”60? float=”60.0? precedence=”4?></quality>
    <quality name=”65? float=”65.0? precedence=”3?></quality>
    <quality name=”70? float=”70.0? precedence=”2?></quality>
    <quality name=”75? float=”75.0? precedence=”1?></quality>
    Mapping the IED’s to Keyboard :

    Accessing weapons with the number pad is quite helpful and easy, so the same thing you can do to the IED’s by mapping them to the number keys.
    Highlight an IED by using your cursor with the Radial Menu open
    With the IED highlighted and the Radial Menu open, assign any number from the 6-0
    Go to Radial Menu and click the number that you assigned to your preferred IED so that you can access them quickly

    Taylor’s Door Blocked Glitch for Alien: Isolation:

    Make a restart to your computer and restart the game and directly try to reach for Taylor straight and it will be done.

    Game Keeps on Minimizing :

    Disable all the background process that you were using and also the team viewer app especially. Try to switch between the Full Screen modes to Windowed Mode with Alt+Tab. If you can still face the issue just make sure to change the drivers of your GPU or Graphic Card.

    AI.exe Stopped Working for Alien: Isolation:

    For this issue, just try to update the drivers for your graphic card and you are done. Download the latest graphic card drivers as it is always recommended.

    Re: Alien Isolation Troubleshooting Guide : Fix Crashing, Lagging, Low FPS, Freezing, Black Screen and Sound Problems

    Startup Black Screen Issue Fix for Alien: Isolation:

    Whenever you face the black screen at the start up of the game, just press the Alt+Tab buttons and your game should go in the window mode. Change the resolution for your game to fix up the issue that you were facing.

    If you would want to change the resolution manually then, you should follow these steps;

    Just go to Steam\Steamapps\Common\Alien Isolation\DATA and look for the ENGINE_SETTINGS.xml. Open this file in the Notepad and look out for the given lines;

    <Quality name=”Windowed” int=”0? precedence=”1?/>
    <Quality name=”WindowedFullScreen” int=”1? precedence=”2?/>
    <Quality name=”FullScreen” int=”2? precedence=”3?/>
    Over here, you have to change the following numbers in the int, Change the ‘Windowed’ int= to 1 and also change the rest of the two int= to 0. Just do that and then fire up the game. When you will come on the main menu settings, just change the resolution to the native one and close the game properly so that the next time it would fire up, the settings were correctly saved.
