How to Close apps in Windows 8 Consumer Preview

Hello last night i opened several applications (from metro apps) but when i tried to close there were no options for the same. I did Alt + F4 to close them but later I found those processes running in task manager. So can anyone suggest me How do I close apps in Windows 8 Consumer Preview. i am new to this operating system.

Re: How to Close apps in Windows 8 Consumer Preview

Well, closing Metro apps are bit tricky in Windows 8. As of now many use to close them from Task manager itself as there is nothing visible to close apps. But there are few ways to do the same. As i am using Windows 8 on my touch screen tablet, the way i close the apps is by simply swiping down the App right from the top edge to the bottom edge.

IF you are using touchscreen than this will help, and sorry to say i dont have any idea :-\ about other devices.

If you are using and normal desktop or Laptop just move the mouse cursor to the top edge, Click and hold left click until the cursor icon changed to a Hand icon. Now simply Drag the app from top edge to bottom and release like we did in touch screen devices. You can also move the mouse cursor to the top-left corner until your suspended apps appear. Then slide the cursor down the left edge until you are over the app you wish to close. Right-click and select Close. This is the way how you can close your running Metro Apps 8)
