Can I format my Mac OS PC without Recovery Disc?

Is it possible to format my mac pc without having a recovery disc? It happens that sometime we loss the disc or sometime we are not having anything for installation. But to resolve the issue we have to re-install it back and then only it works. In windows you cannot do that. You need windows setup file to install it back. What about mac? There must be some smart way of installation of mac if you are not having the recovery disc.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Yes you can do that. Mac OS comes with a internet support through which you can download the operating system directly after formatting. No need to get a recovery disc. It is a simple procedure.

For that you have to reboot your pc and hit CMD+R to enter a recovery menu. Just keep them press. And then format your drive. Once you format your os is removed. The second thing you have to do is install the mac operating system. To do that just click on Re-install OS X and done.

Let me know if you need any more help with this.

That's correct but for downloading the OS you need a good internet speed. Because the entire operating system might be around 4GB or higher. If you have a slow internet connection then this thing is going to take a really long time. Using the same through a recovery disc is going to help you much more. I had tried the method. it is a good and safe method when you are not having a disc or when you had lost the same. There must be some feature to pull the same from lan network.
