Porting Firefox OS for Sony Xperia

How about porting Firefox OS on a Sony Xperia phone? I had seen a few article which based on Samsung Galaxy S2. It is working well on the device, but there is no information about installing Firefox OS on the Xperia series. There must be.

There are already tons of ROMs available that you can use to root your phone and get optimum output. But when it comes to testing Firefox OS there is nothing available. As per the hardware the Os will work.

Re: Porting Firefox OS for Sony Xperia

Well I am using Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10. And it has a Gingerbread android OS. I am not willing to install any third party custom rom on the same. I want to add this Firefox OS but not able to find anything. I am sure it will work as per the hardware config. I had seen that Firefox OS does not really need a very high amount of ram. What matters is proper porting or your device can get brick.

The rom is not yet available. There are many devices which had not got this Firefox OS rom. But if you can go ahead by building one for your own. For that you have to follow the guide provided on developer.mozilla.org.

You can learn from scratch how you can build Firefox OS rom for your phone. It is a big long guide which might take time, but you can lean a lot time about the same. There are few Nexus 5 experimental ROMs available. Test that on your own risk.
