Galaxy Note 3 keeps telling SD card corrupt, format to proceed

Hi guys. I am using a Galaxy Note 3 since a month. As the internal memory was getting full because of huge games and apps, finally a bought a new 32GB SD Card. Installed it in my Phone and it got detected fine, no problem. But as soon as i started moving my Pictures, Videos and music to the SD Card, suddenly it said the SD card is corrupt and needs to be formatted to proceed. That's not all. It also corrupted my few pictures and videos which i cannot open anymore.

I removed the SD Card from phone and inserted in my laptop where it is still working good but when i re-insert it in the phone, again it says the memory is corrupt. Damn. I dont know what is wrong. It is a brand new SD card and bit costly. Please suggest what i need to do?

    Many thanks.

If it is working good in the laptop that means the card is good, instead there is some problem with the phone itself. I have seen few people with the same problem and one thing which was common in all of them was, Android 4.4 Kitkat update. Yes, they all complaint about the same after updating their phone to Kitkat.

Anyways, the solution is not to downgrade to Jellybean because it is not possible all most or very lengthy process. So, the best i can suggest you is try buying a new card and see if it works fine.

Nope, there is no need to buy a new SD Card. I have had the same problem with my Note 3, as said, after updating the device to Kitkat. After few workaround i found a working fix. As you said, the laptop is detecting the card fine, you need to insert the card in laptop and format it in Fat32 file format. And then put it in the phone.

It will work fine. Try it and let me know.
