How To Root Sony Xperia C

Sony Xperia C is an ideal smartphone for multi-tasking. This phone has quad core processor through which you can enjoy good performance on the same. It also has quiet optimized OS through which you can enjoy battery life. Today I am going to show you method to root Sony Xperia C C2305. The device is powered by 1.2 GHz Quad core processor. It has 1GB ram and PowerVR SGX544 gpu. Through which you can play games also on the same. It gives you 8MP primary camera for photos with LED flash. The phone comes with decent feature but usage is limited on the factory OS. You can boost that by installing a custom rom the same and for that you have to root the phone.

Rooting gives you more control over the device. You can enjoy different rom with various tweaks and mods in it. You can also run different apps and get amazing output from the same. Rooting will give you rom access where you can remove apps which are not needed. I had seen Sony devices come loaded with many bloatware. This are not required pre-installed apps that slow down your phone to some extent. You can remove them and make your device output much better. But remember that this will void the phone warranty. You won’t receive any OTA updates in future also.

    Requirements:

    • Before moving ahead you have to charge your phone completely. There must be more than 80% battery in your device.
    • Backup your entire phone data.
    • Remember this will void the warranty so go ahead on your own risk.
    • The process is tested on Sony Xperia C C2305 only. Do not attempt to use it on any other de ice.
    • Update your system with latest Xperia C usb driver. You can find them on the official site. You will need a windows based pc for that.
    • Go in Settings > Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
    • Download Root Package and save it on your desktop.

    Rooting Process:

    • Extract the content of Root Package on the desktop of your Windows PC. Keep it inside a folder.
    • Now just verify one again that usb debugging is one or not. Connect the phone to the pc through usb cable.
    • If the drivers are installing the device will be detected and if not then you will get a hardware installation wizard. If you are unable to find the drivers install Sony PC Suite.
    • Go in the folder of root package.
    • In that you can find a file called as Sony Xperia C Root.exe.
    • Right click on that and choose run as Administrator.
    • Wait back till you get a notification that the process is over.

Once done, your Xperia C is rooted successfully. You can confirm the same by downloading Root Checker app from Google Play store.
