HTC One M8 Gesture stopped working after OTA Update

There was a OTA update which caused serious issue after installation. I am having a HTC One M8 phone and after installing the update the gesture has stopped working. I am not able to figure out how this happened. The update also cause another problem. I had rooted my device and after installing the Root access is gone. I think I have to start everything back again. but what about the gesture thing. How can I fix it?

You are not the only one who is facing the issue. The update has cause problem in many phone and especially on those who were rooted. First of all if your device is rooted you must skip the update.

Never apply OTA updates if you are using a custom rom or a rooted phone. The update modify internal system files that create more issue because of incompatible firmware. You have to restore the stock rom back again.

That is a hectic procedure. You have to restore the flash rom on the basis of your device model and firmware version. You also have to find the rom version based on your region. you cannot just install anything.

So the first thing you must do is simply find the right rom as mentioned above. There is one more thing you can do. You can root and install custom rom your system. This custom rom will support all the features making thing active.
