Flashing Stock ROMs using ODIN on Samsung Smartphone's

Stock ROMs are the factory roms that comes pre-installed in the mobile phone when you buy this. This roms are official and when they are in your phone you have a active warranty. But today we have ample of rooting process around the globe. Many people root their device and flash it with custom rom which crate a problem later on. For Samsung devices it is bit easy to restore the stock rom.

You can do that through ODIN. In this short tips I am going to show you the method through which you can simply restore the rom and get your old phone settings back. This is a effective solution for and will help people to get the factory Os back again. Having your stock ram back also makes your device eligible for new firmware updates. The process is safe and is applicable for almost all Samsung phones.

    Requirements:

    • Download Odin on your pc. You will need a Windows system.
    • Update the latest Samsung usb drivers in your system. You can find that on the official site. Or if you had installed Samsung kies then there is no need to install it separately.
    • Go in settings > developer options > usb debugging and enable it.
    • Charge your phone to maximum. You have to ensure that your phone must have max battery.
    • Backup your entire phone data and keep it on your pc. This process will wipe out everything.
    • The most important thing you have to do is fine the right firmware version for your Samsung phone. If you are flashing the wrong your phone will brick.. You can find the firmware version in Settings > About Device or Settings > More About. Here you can locate the stock firmware from similar phone which is not rooted.
    • If you are still unable to find then you can try to find that on many online site that offer download for custom and stock roms. You have to type your phone model in Google to find stock and then choose the right region if you have any results.
    • Another way to locating stock rom is through the last two digit or alphabets of your firmware name.

Re: Flashing Stock ROMs using ODIN on Samsung Smartphone's

    Flashing Process:

    • First extract the content of ODIN in your pc on your desktop in folder.
    • You can also move the stock firmware in that if you want or keep it is aside. It will be a zip file. Extract it.
    • Verify that usb debugging is one on your phone. If yes then just turn it off.
    • Then hold volume down + home + power to boot your phone in download mode.
    • Start Odin.exe file and then connect your phone to the pc through original usb cable.
    • Don't do anything until Odin detect the phone. Check the ID:COM section. It will turn to yellow. If proper drivers are not installed then ODIN will not be able to detect.
    • The next thing you have to do is click on pda button and then choose the firmware. You have to choose file with extension tar or mdf. You have to add a check on auto reboot and f.reset. If there is any more option selected then just remove the tick.
    • Click on start button and wait back. This process will take some time. Once it is completely successfully you will see a pas message. That means the stock rom is installed. The device will take few minute to restart.
