Samsung Galaxy S5 Finger Scanner Hacked, is it safe to use Paypal

What is this news about Galaxy S5 Finger scanner hacked? I hope this is safe. I had seen a few people using Paypal. Even I am using on my old Samsung Note 2 device and willing to go for Galaxy S5. But later on I found this hack news and i am now much concerned of security. I use Paypal to make payments online and if this scanner is hacked it will be easier for other to gain access.

Should i still buy Galaxy S5? Is there any fix available for the same?

This is true. There is some kind of authentication but in this device. The scanner can be hacked. S5 comes with a finger print scanner and a heart beat sensor. Paypal app that comes in the device supports fingerprint authentication. That means there is no need to login. You can simply use the fingerprint scanner to login. But this vulnerability has generated many questions.

The hackedis done by a german security firm. They had also a posted information for that on the web. It is recommended that you must not use your phone for banking stuff. It can be risky.

Paypal is one of the most common payment gateway and fingerprint scanner put this thing to risk. It is easy for others to access your details if you had configured the app. Just use the regular login method. By typing user id and password will work.

There must be always a extra layer of security which is always good in all manner. Because here only fingerprint scanner is use. When it comes to banking or for making transaction a two way authentication method must be applied. So that there is maximum safety. If anyone process is hacked then person can use the other one to keep its detail secure. We can expect a update fix for this by Samsung.
