USB 3.0 stopped working after Windows update

I am not sure what really happen but after updating Windows 8.1 x64 on Asus K55A notebook the usb 3.0 is having problem. My system has Core i3 processor. It is a quiet nice system but the usb 3.0 is not working fine. There are lots of issue. The wifi disconnected on its own. There is only 9mb/s of transfer of speed on usb 3.0 which was giving me more than 30mb/s last time.

It looks the update has messed up the system drivers. The best way to resolve the issue is to download all latest drivers. You can find that on the official site. Download the drivers and one by one install them.

Once all files are updated I am quite sure that problem will be resolved and you will be able to use your system as it was before.

Another fast way of fixing the issue is running System Restore. Just run that and you will get your default working settings fast. I do this always whenever there is a problem in my pc related to Windows Update. And when I get the popup back for adding that I update I skip it. Because it has already caused the problem. You can also try the same thing.

Go in Device Manager and see that all things are properly installed. This is mostly a driver bug. Also check that your system files are fine by running sfc /scannow.

Just type this in cmd and hit enter. The utility will scan the system for damage system file and you have to keep Windows installation disc ready with you. If at the end SFC does not find any problem then surely this is a driver problem.
