WhatsAap free Voice calls possible very soon

Just after Facebook bought WhatsApp for record 19 billion US Dollars, there was a major announcement saying that they will soon launch VOIP services in WhatsApp for making free voice calls to all our contacts. The announcement seems to be happening true very soon. An Italian blog iphoneitalia has posted some shocking screenshots today which shows the voice calling features in WhatsApp. Have a look:

The UI is kept quit simple and easy. You just need to open a contact where you will find a tab for Calling along with the chatting as shown in the image above. Just tap the button and your call is connected. Only thing what is not made clear yet is whether the calls will be made on 2G as well. We will come to know about the same soon.

You guys missed one more feature which will be added to WhatsApp along with VOIP services. They have put the camera icon right next to the mic icon and the message typing field to make photo/video sharing much more easier, like this:

First of all it is not the Android phone.. the screenshots have been taken on iPhone version of whatsapp. And secondly it is a leaked screenshot. The WhatsApp with Voice calling is not available for the users in the market yet. Hence the OP has mentioned 'Very Soon' in the title.

I guess Voice calling with Whatsapp will be possible on 2G as well because, as we know, they are best in mobile messaging client competition in the market.

Now as there are many good VOIP softwares available for iOS/ Android such as Line, Viber, etc Whatsapp will surely keep its name on the top of all these by making the voice calls as much as comfortable they can.
