Sony Xperia Z2 with 5.2-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 801, 3GB RAM, 4K video recording announced

Xperia Z series has been most successful so far for Sony which includes Xperia Z, Z Ultra, Z Tablet and more. Following the same trend and success, Sony at MWC announced the successor of Xperia Z, named as "Sony Xperia Z2". Although the design and style looks same as its predecessor, it is upgraded and made much more powerful than earlier. As of now Sony has not announced the price of Xperia Z2 but they will launch the Phablet somewhere in next month (March 2014) in three different colors including Black, White and Purple. Let's have a close look at its hardware and other aspects.

Sony Xperia Z2 features a Full HD 5.2 inch Triluminos Display with Live Colour LED powered by X-Reality engine offering 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. This is surely one of the best displays we can have on smartphones. Running on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system Xperia Z2 is powered with 2.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and 3GB of RAM making the phone powerful enough for every thing whether it is performance or multitasking. Furthermore it also comes with Adreno 330 GPU making the device even better in HD Gaming.

Just like other Xperia Z smartphones and Tablets, Xperia Z2 is also a Water proof and Dust resistance with IP55 / IP58 rating. Another attraction of Xperia Z2 will be its powerful 20.7 Megapixel rear Camera with Exmos RS sensor and capable to capture 4K video recording. There is also a 2.2 Megapixel front-facing camera allowing you to make Video calling in Full HD 1080p videos. As per storage Xperia Z2 comes with built-in 16GB storage memory with expandable memory slot supporting upto 64GB microSD card. The phablet also seems good in connectivity supporting LTE /3G HSPA+, WiFi 820.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 with APT-X, GPS/ GLONASS, MHL 3.0 and NFC.

Sony Xperia Z2 is running on 3200 mAh Battery with STAMINA mode which is said to be offering over an entire day battery backup. As said earlier, Xperia Z2 may hit the market next month. We will update the price very soon here.
