Lava launches 'Iris Pro 30' with 4.7 inch HD display for Rs. 15,999

We have been hearing about Lava's new "Iris Pro Series" since last year. They also released some video advertisements teasing the same. There were several news about the launch of this Pro series but it kept delaying every time. Finally, Lava has officially launched their first ever smartphone under this new series named as "Iris Pro 30". The phone comes with pretty good specifications and interesting features. Let's have a look at them closely.

The new Lava Iris Pro 30 is a Dual SIM phone supporting one Micro Sim and a normal Sim. Running on Android 4.2 jellybean operating system the phone features a HD 4.7 inch IPS One Glass Screen (OGS) display with Gorilla glass protection offering 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. This seems to be pretty good and first of its kind in any Lava phone so far. Furthermore, Lava has powered the phone with 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and PowerVR SGX 544 GPU which not only makes the phone good in performance and multitasking but also in high end mobile gaming.

With Iris Pro 30 users get an 8 Megapixel rear camera with dual LED Flash, Blue glass filter and Noise cancellation with dual microphones capable to capture high quality pictures and HD videos with clear voice. There is also a 3 Megapixel front facing camera for video calling and conferencing. The phone comes with built-in 4GB storage memory out of which only 2.43GB is available for users access but there is an expandable memory slot providing supporting upto 32GB microSD card.

As per connectivity Iris Pro supports 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and USB OTG. The phone is running on 2000 mAh battery from which we can expect battery life of upto 5 to 7 hours. The phone also has CABC (Content Adaptive backlight control) technology reduces screen brightness automatically and increases battery life upto 30%.

Lava Iris Pro 30 also brings some new features for the first time in Lava phone such as Voice and Face unlocking, Sound and Shot, Flip to mute, Lift to make calls or answer and video PIP. The phone will be available in markets from next week, probably, in Black color with silver metal bezel as shown in the image at the said price of Rs. 15,999/-
