The wait for new Windows 8 operating system is getting over day by day. Microsoft has now announced (according to CNet News) the released date of its new Windows 8 Consumer Preview. W8 Consumer Preview will be launched in Barcelona on February 29 2012, at 3:00 and 5:00 PM CET or 9:00 and 11:00 AM EST. Microsoft will set an event at the MWC (Mobile World Congress) in Barcelona, Spain and that is why time zone wackiness.
Don’t get confuse with the name “Consumer Preview”. It’s the name Microsoft has given instead of “beta version”. As we all know Windows 8 is coming packed with lots new features and new interface like dubbed Metro, that is moving quickly to the core of all Microsoft's consumer offerings. And the Metro apps that are going to ship with this preview are Calendar, Camera, Mail, Messaging, Music, "People," Photos, SkyDrive, and Video. Along with these features, there are few more changes people will experience like better support for multiple monitors, improved touch experience, and support for both x86 and ARM.
Now lets wait 3 more weeks before we can experience the new Microsoft Era.
