Motorola Moto G revealed with quad-core Snapdragon CPU at the price of $180

After being in news for past couple of weeks, finally Motorola's Moto G has been announced officially. The phone will go on sale starting at $179 in Brazil this week, following rest of the counties. Moto G will probably hit Indian markets in the beginning of next year, 2014. The device seems good with its specifications and is really worth enough at the said price.

The new Moto G features a HD 4.5-inch touch screen display with Gorilla Glass Protection for better durability. It offers 1280 x 720 pixels resolution at 329 ppi providing you sharper, brighter and better output. It is the best so far in its class. Moto G is a Dual SIM smartphone running on Android 4.3 JellyBean operating system and will be surely getting Android 4.4 Kitkat update in future.

Motorola has powered the phone with 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor accompanied with 1GB of RAM. We can surely expect smooth and lag free performance with better multitasking from this device. There is also a Adreno 305 GPU which makes the phone even good for gaming. As per storage Moto G will be available in two variants, that is 8GB and 16GB built-in storage. There is no expandable memory slot provided.

As far as connectivity is concerned, it supports 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and GLONASS. The phone is running on 2070 mAh battery from which we can expect battery life of upto 7 to 9 hours in usage mode. As there is two different variants, Moto G with 8GB storage will start from $179 while the 16 GB variant will be sold for $199.
