Samsung finally launched the new Flip Phone "Galaxy Golden (GT-I9230)" in India for the price of Rs. 51,900. However Flipkart is selling the device at the cost of Rs. 49,900/- The device was launched couple of months ago in Korea and now landed in Indian markets as well. The new Galaxy Golden features a 3.7-inch dual Super AMOLED touch screen displays offering 480 x 800 pixels resolution. In this phone we have the same display on both the sides, on outside as well as inside which means you can operate phone also without opening the flip.

Samsung has powered the phone with 1.7 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor along with 1.5 GB of RAM which makes the device quite powerful for smooth performance and multitasking. It is running on Android 4.2 JellyBean operating system. Users also get an 8 Megapixel rear camera with LED Flash as well as 1.9 Megapixel front facing camera for video calls and conferencing. As per connectivity Galaxy Golden supports 3G, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS / GLONASS and Bluetooth 4.0. The Indian variant of the phone is exactly same in specification as of Korean version, only the difference is this variant missing the LTE connectivity which was present in Korean variant.

Samsung Galaxy Golden comes with built-in 16 GB storage memory and an expandable memory slot supporting SD Card upto 64GB. The phone is running on 1,820 mAh battery from which we can expect battery life of upto 7 to 9 hours in usage mode. Weighing 179 grams it has dimension of 118 x 59.5 x 15.8 (mm).
