Yesterday we posted a news which says LG launched LG Fireweb which is the world's first phone running Firefox OS that got launched in Brazil only. Now, ZTE has launched their own first smartphone named as "ZTE Open" running on this new operating system. Probably this is the first in Indian market with Firefox OS. Available at the price of Rs. 6,990 at eBay the device features a 3.5 inch HVGA TFT One Point touch + Gesture Captive touch screen display.


ZTE Open is powered with 1Ghz Qualcomm MSM7225A processor accompanied with 256MB of RAM and 512MB ROM. From these specifications it clearly seems that it is a basic smartphone and can be good for beginners who want to learn the Firefox OS functionality. As per connectivity the phone supports Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, with AGPS, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and MicroUSB port. The manufacturer has powered the phone with 1200mAH battery from which we can expect battery life of upto 6 to 8 hours in usage mode.
