Samsung Galaxy S3 and Note 2 users are waiting for Android 4.2.2 update since a long time and still there is no official announcement from Samsung whether or when these devices will get the this update. Probably according to the rumors, Samsung has dumped the idea of 4.2 and have started working on the latest Android 4.3 Firmware update for S3 and Note. But again there is no word about their release dates. Hence, if you are fed up of the same default 4.1 user interface on your galaxy S3, here is something new.

Here is the leaked official XAAMDM Android 4.2.2 JellyBean ROM for Galaxy S3. This ROM is still in development but works great on the phone. If you want to get this ROM on your phone and experience out the new features of 4.2.2, just follow the below simple steps.


  • Start by taking the backup of whole data stuffed in the phone as this process can wipe out your data.
  • Make sure your phone is charged atleast 70% , during the process the phone should not drained off opr the phone may get dead and you will need to follow these steps to make it working again.
  • Enable USB debugging mode from settings of your phone.
  • Now download and install Kies software so that the require Samsung Drivers get installed on your PC. You can download KIES from the link provided here
  • Now download XXUFME3 Android 4.2.2 firmware
  • Download Odin and save it on your desktop.
  • Extract the download Firmware in a folder on your desktop. You will get .tar file.
  • Now switch off your phone and boot it in download mode by pressing and holding volume down + Home + Power button till device turns on
  • Now press Volume up key to enter in to download mode.
  • Connect your device using USB cable to the computer
  • Launch Odin and wait for the message saying "Device Added”.
  • Under Odin, select “.tar file from the ROM folder in PDA button option.
  • In Odin make sure that “Auto Reboot” and “F.Reset Time” are checked and “Re-Partition” check box is unselected.
  • Now click on Start button to start the installation process.
  • After flashing you will prompt out with Pass message.
  • Your device will automatically start booting.





Now you can disconnect your device. Make all required settings and check About Phone option. You will find that your galaxy S3 is running on Android 4.2.2 firmware with TouchWiz.
