    How to install Android 4.2.2 Custom ROM on Sony Xperia Z

    Sony Xperia Z is really good phone and is turning out compatible with every other custom ROM. If you are having Sony Xperia Z then you can also try out with PAC-Man Android 4.2.2 Custom ROM. To install this PAC-Man ROM you should keep some steps in the mind some useful steps which are really compulsion before installing this ROM. Here are the same:


    • Take complete backup of data and apps of your phone as while installing all your data will be deleted.
    • Battery of your phone should be atleast 70% charge as this procedure will be carried on long.
    • Enable USB debugging mode from settings > Developer options.
    • You should also check with the bootloader is unlocked to your phone
    • ClockworkMod Recovery should be also installed
    • Download PAC-Man ROM for Xperia Z http://goo.im/devs/jeroenqui/yuga/PAC-man
    • Copy the zip file to SD-Card of your device without extracting
    • Download Fastboot file http://www.mediafire.com/?pt9l2bm374npj5w
    • Rename Fastboot.zip folder to ‘fastboot’
    • Now all you have to do is unzip ROM file to get boot.img file and copy that file in fastboot folder.
    • Now switch off your phone and boot in Fastboot Mode with holding power button + volume down button
    • Connect your phone with computer with the help of data cable and open Command prompt from PC and enter following command

    cd c:Fastboot - to go to Fastboot folder.
    fastboot flash boot boot.img – to install boot.img



    fastboot -i oxofoce flash boot boot.img – to flash kernel

    When the boot.img is installed, a message saying "finished/OKAY" appears. Now continue the steps given below.

    • Remove device from PC.
    • From the recovery menu scroll down using Volume keys and select Wipe Data/Factory reset.
    • Now scroll down to Advance Option and select "wipe dalvik cache" too.
    • Go to back to recovert home menu and select "Install zip from SDcard"
    • Browse and select ‘choose zip from SDcard’ and navigate to ‘PAC-Man ROM’ file which was downloaded and now confirm to install.


    Let the installation get completed. Once done, select Reboot System Now from the recovery home menu. Let the phone take time to boot properly. Once done you will see that Android 4.2.2 PAC-Man ROM is successfully installed on your Sony Xperia Z.
