    The Google Redirect Virus is a real and serious threat to PCs around the world. The main symptom of this virus is that the search results of Google users will be diverted, and instead of being directed to legitimate sites will redirect to malicious websites distributing spyware to sell rogue security tools and distribution of viruses and infections.     How to remove Google redirect virus from Web browser

    Hello I am using the windows XP operating system on mine computer and I have installed the internet explorer browser on mine system. Last night while working on the system I have found that mine system and browser have been infected with the Google redirect virus and so due to that I am not able to browse properly and work properly on mine browser. I have tried the all possible solution o get ride the issue but I am still facing the same issue on mine system. Now I donít what to do and how to get rid this issue, can anyone suggest on this issue and so that I can solve mien issue.

As usual, the developers are trying to 'hide' the true nature of their malicious programs. So, in order to keep your computer safe and clean your browser of this malicious program, you must delete it. And as soon as you do it soon you will be able to search for what you really want. Even if you are redirected to the secure content with a link, the virus is dangerous and should be removed. You can not always hope that the next time you enter a good site. Below you can find information on how you can remove Google Redirect Virus from your PC safely and easily.

    Google Redirect Virus Removal milestones:

    1. Check the Local Area Network (LAN) settings of the system
    2. Check if the DNS settings have been changed redirect virus
    3. Check your Windows HOSTS file contents
    4. Check the Internet Explorer Add-ons. Getting rid of unknown or suspicious add-on contained
    5. Use Kaspersky TDSSKiller (TDSS Killer) application to get rid of malware to the clan of Rootkit.Win32.TDSS
    6. Scan the system with decent anti-virus and malware murderess
    7. Consider using CCleaner to remove the system / temp files and browser cache

    Check the Local Area Network (LAN) settings of the system

    Check your Windows HOSTS file contents
    a) Go to: C: \ WINDOWS system32 drivers etc.
    b) Double-click the file "hosts" file to open it. Choose to open with Notepad.
    c) There should be one line: 127.0.0.1 localhost 127.0.0.1 localhost in Windows XP:: 1 on Windows Vista. If there are more, then remove and save the changes.

    Check the Internet Explorer Add-ons. Getting rid of unknown or suspicious add-on contained

    a) Open Internet Explorer. In Internet Explorer go to Tools-> Manage Add-ons.
    b) Uninstall unknown or suspicious toolbars or search providers.

    Use Kaspersky TDSSKiller (TDSS Killer) application to get rid of malware to the clan of Rootkit.Win32.TDSS
    a) Download the file and extract it to a TDSSKiller.zip folder
    b) Run the file TDSSKiller.exe.
    c) Wait for the process of scanning and disinfection as well. Close all programs and press the "Y" to restart the computer.

    Scan the system with decent anti-virus and malware

    if you have installed the any antivirus and then i would suggest you to make sure you have updated the antivirus and after that make scan on your system. or you can also use some of the decent Malware on your system and then you can solve the issue.

    The last but not least, reset the router to factory default settings

    Keep in mind that this step is optional and should be completed only if you have followed all the recommendations mentioned above and you still have the redirect virus on your computer. Then you should flush the DNS cache:
    a) Go to Start-Run (or WinKey R) and type "cmd" without quotes.
    b) In a new window, type "ipconfig / flushdns" without quotes and press Enter.
