Comparison: HTC Wildfire vs. HTC Wildfire S

They are the two smaller mobile HTC Android into their offerings. Wildfire and HTC are HTC Wildfire S. The first is the original model, while the second is the recent review and model. Between them there are not many differences: they are small, have the same screen size and use Android. While it is true that there are some changes to the HTC Wildfire S model. Here we review the two and see what differences exist between these two affordable phones from Taiwanese manufacturer.

    Design and Display

The two phones are the tiniest of terminals equipped HTC Android, Google's mobile platform. Moreover, its actions are similar, although the original model (HTC Wildfire) is somewhat less thick. Accurate measurements of both models are: 106.75 x 60.4 x 11.9 millimeters for the first Smartphone, while the latest measures: 101.3 x 59.4 x 12.4 mm.

On the other hand, HTC Wildfire has a small touch button on the front that helps the user to navigate through menus without using the touch screen, while the latest model loses this access and is only sensitive buttons to the touch.

Meanwhile, two mobile screens offer a 3.2-inch diagonal; although the original model has a lower resolution than the HTC Wildfire S: 320 x 240 pixels compared to 320 x 480 pixels of the second.

    Camera

In this regard, both as the HTC Wildfire and HTC Wildfire S offers a camera five megapixel accompanied by a LED flash to illuminate scenes where ambient light is low. In none of the two Smartphone’s can record videos in high definition.

    Operating System

And it must be understood that HTC Wildfire takes longer on the market that HTC Wildfire S which belongs to the last batch terminal Asian manufacturer. Thus, the versions of Android that are installed are completely different. HTC Wildfire must be content with Android 2.2 Froyo, while HTC Wildfire S be the most current version for mobile phones: Android 2.3 Gingerbread, so the latest enhancements of the system icons Google will be available in the latest model.

    Processor and memory

There is not much difference between the two clock frequencies, but something noticeable in performance. HTC Wildfire has a 528 MHz processor while HTC Wildfire S boasts a 600 MHz processor. Of course, no fancy stuff too much to ask any of the two models, serve to moderate use where you can visit websites, consular and receive email, visit social networking profiles or music of the moment. But you'd better forget about running games that require a lot of demand for graphics too heavy or play videos in formats such as MKV. For these purposes will be better to use models like Samsung Galaxy S2 or HTC Sensation.

Meanwhile, the RAM is identical in both cases: 512 MB. While the internal storage is 384 MB in the case of original mobile and 512 MB on the HC Wildfire S.

    Connections

Both models offer the same wired and wireless connections. On one side are the wireless and Wi-Fi, 3G and Bluetooth - version 2.1 for the HTC Wildfire and version 3.0 for the HTC Wildfire S - and possibility to use a browser mode thanks to its integrated GPS receiver. In the physical connections are a standard audio output 3.5 mm and a micro USB port that will serve to synchronize data with a computer and to charge the batteries of both models.

    Battery autonomy

Paradoxically, this section wins against the original version with its relevant model revisions. HTC is committed to a 1230 milliamp battery on the HTC Wildfire S compared to 1,400 milliamps original model. This will result in a range slightly greater in the second coming to the 490 minutes of talk time and up to 690 hours standby; HTC Wildfire S should conform to be up to 430 minutes talk time and up to 570 hours standby.

    Conclusions

The two phones belong to the input range of HTC Android. HTC Wildfire S is more powerful by getting a faster processor, more internal memory and offers more modern connections such as Bluetooth 3.0. However, the appearance is as important as autonomy, the original model wins, barely, but more powerful battery provides longer operating time without having to go through an outlet.

For the rest, we are moving to affordable and offered in some operators from zero Euros. Smart Phones that are geared to users who do not want to spend too much money on a smart phone and want to prove how it's Android is Google.
